"I tell people I was born a 6-lb baby, then went to 150-lbs and stayed there the rest of my life, thus far.
At 49 I finally began to change that. I have been overweight all my life. I've tried every diet and every magic pill out there and I'd loose weight, gain it back and the cycle continued. But 2 1/2 years ago I decided I had to do something to change my out-look of myself. I am 5'2" and I weighed 186-lbs when I started this chapter of my life, wearing a size 14/16. I began going to a gym with a friend and was beginning to see results when it closed; my mom became very sick and I fell back into the same old habits. When my mom passed away I was back up in a size 14. In October 2009, Cindy came into my store and was telling me about her "boot camp" classes and in November I started my 1st session. I weighed 166.6-lbs when I started and 5 months later I weighed 139-lbs and was wearing a size 8. My family and friends have been so supportive and loving through this journey I'm on ,which I'm not finished with yet. I can tell you that this has been the hardest I've ever worked at something, but you have to WORK at whats important to you. I feel better now than I've ever felt.

I have been overweight most of my adult life and struggled with depression since early in my teen years. At 29, after some major life changes, I found myself in a very dark place emotionally and at an all time high in my weight. I had no desire to make any changes and had come to terms with the fact that I would just be overweight and unhappy for the rest of my life.
My Sister has had her own struggles with weight and in the last few years managed to shed 65 pounds off of her own 4’10” frame. She knew exactly what I was going through and somehow managed to convince me to attend a session of Bodies By Cindy Bootcamp. I still had no real desire to make any changes and didn’t think that these four short weeks could really make a difference in my life, but I knew my sister needed this to keep herself on track and I couldn’t let her down.
When I went for my first assessment with Cindy I was a little intimidated and a lot sceptical. She told me “You’re going to love it! It will change your life! I won’t let you fail.” Then came my first bootcamp class. Everyone else seemed to be in such great shape, running and lifting weights, I just couldn’t keep up. My heart rate was fast approaching 200 beats per minute, I felt dizzy and nauseas, but Cindy told me to just do what I could do and keep going.
After three weeks of trudging through bootcamp, I attended a class meeting at Bayfront Park in Daphne. The sandy beach added a whole new level of difficulty to the workout and I was really struggling. It was at that moment that I realized what mortal peril I was in. I was dying and this might be my only chance to start living before it was too late. At that moment I dedicated myself to getting healthy and began accepting all of the help that Cindy had to offer.
Six months later I am in the best shape of my life physically, mentally and emotionally. I have lost more than 65 lbs, cut my resting heart rate by more than half and I sleep every night (something I have not done since a child). When I started BBC I couldn’t run around the block, now I have completed a triathlon and a half-marathon! The physical changes are amazing, but the difference in my attitude, confidence and outlook are the most significant.
The exercise and nutrition programs that Cindy has created are amazing and the results are clear. The incredibly supportive and nurturing environment is completely unique to BBC and that is what has really kept me going through this process.
Cindy has saved my life and I am grateful for her every day. I love you Cindy Ross.

Beginning in grade school, I can remember all too well struggling with my weight. I had to continuously fluctuate my weight depending on which sport I played and the moment I realized that I was a “big guy” was when I was persistently asked to weigh in before football games.
As I began high school, I embraced the "big boy" identity and believed there wasn’t much I could do as far as my body type. Continuing into college, I carried this ideology and reached a weight of 300lbs. My diet wasn’t as much of junk food that one might expect, but it usually consisted of 1 large meal a day and usually later in the evening.
After recommendation from my mother to join Bodies By Cindy accompanied by some self reflection, I decided it was time for change. Cindy and Jason made me feel very comfortable with the transition into a new lifestyle, including a renovated diet and weekly routine. I was very aware that most people who begin a program similar to this, usually are all in for the first few weeks or so, then go back to their old ways. With Cindy and Jason’s consistent support and their enthusiasm to help me become a healthy person, I have continued with the program.
I attend Bodies By Cindy personal training sessions twice a week and continue my cardio workout the rest of the week. After about 6-7 weeks of training, I had lost over 23lbs. I attribute this to Cindy and Jason’s support and the ever changing workouts. After a plateau of about 2 weeks, I was a bit worried, but Cindy assured me that my hard work, diet and cardio would pay off!
Now after 7 months, I have reached my goal weight. I have lost 78lbs! Before, I had come to the reality that I was a “big guy,” but as I see the pounds drop off, I have a total new outlook about myself. I make sure to tell the Bodies By Cindy Team thank you after each training session, because they have truly CHANGED MY LIFE.
Thank you again to the Bodies By Cindy Team for your hard work and support!
